Our Mission

Here at Apothecary & Co., an integrative/naturopathic pharmacy, we are dedicated to giving you the very best of vitamins, supplements, essential oils, specialized compounded medications, medicinal herbs and much more with the focus on dependability, customer service, and uniqueness. Founded in 2018 by myself, Hillary Howell, PharmD, Apothecary & Co. has come to be a reality after my husband, James, was diagnosed with an extremely rare, incurable cancer, leiomyosarcoma. With this diagnoses, James and I made the difficult choice to treat the aggressive cancer holistically hoping to increase his odds to 30-40% versus the 5-10% with traditional chemotherapy and radiation. Being a pharmacist for the past 15 years, I knew this was going to be a risky endeavor, however, it was a risk that James and I were compelled to take. James was treated holistically with supplements, vitamins, infra-red sauna, diet, IV vitamin therapy, reiki, and meditation, among many other treatments. Ultimately, James made the choice to go to Mexico and California to the world renowned Issels Medical Center for immunotherapy. Sadly, James lost his “battle” with cancer in May of 2018. During our journey, my interest in alternative medicine heightened, and I decided to pursue my own business incorporating what we had learned. I was more dedicated and determined than ever to guide and consult more patients with illnesses such as James who are interested in the prevention side of health and wellness. In honor of my late husband, James, Apothecary& Co proudly opened its doors. Our mission is to increase the awareness of integrated and functional medicine specifically to the practice of pharmacy and the community. It is also our intention to make lower cost medications available without the use of insurance, as well as offer the best compounding service possible. We are thrilled to be one of the first “cash” only pharmacy and wellness centers in the state. We trust and hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy offering them to you!
